Description

Raw Material: 15CrMo alloy steel. It is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel featuring excellent high-temperature strength, hydrogen corrosion resistance and favorable weldability, which is widely applied to high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions.

Production Process: Cutting of 15CrMo alloy steel ingots, heating, die forging (to form the hub structure), normalizing plus tempering heat treatment (to achieve required metallographic structure and mechanical properties), rough machining, ultrasonic testing (UT), finish machining (weld groove manufactured in strict accordance with ASME B16.25 standard), bolt hole drilling, finish machining of sealing surface, final heat treatment (when necessary), hardness testing, hydrostatic test.


Application Fields: Mainly used in harsh working conditions with high temperature, high pressure, flammable, explosive and toxic media, such as petrochemical refining hydrogenation units, thermal power plant steam pipelines, ammonia synthesis units, high-temperature oil and gas transmission pipelines, etc. Butt welding boasts high connection strength and fatigue resistance, making it one of the most reliable connection methods for pressure pipelines.


Temperature and Pressure Resistance: Compliant with ASME B16.5 standard, Class150 pressure rating. 15CrMo material possesses outstanding high-temperature performance. For instance, at a high temperature of 1000°F (538°C), the allowable stress of 15CrMo material is much higher than that of carbon steel A105. Accordingly, 15CrMo hubbed butt welding flanges of Class150 have a far higher allowable working pressure at high temperatures compared with carbon steel flanges. Specific values shall be referred to the ASME B16.5 pressure-temperature chart and allowable stress of materials in ASME II-D.
