Description

The Hubbed Slip-On Welding Flange complying with ASME B16.5 standard produced by Hebei Hexin Pipe Fitting Co., Ltd. is of size NPS 1-1/2", pressure class Class150, raised face (RF) sealing surface, A105 carbon steel material, and welded connection. Detailed product introduction is as follows:

Raw Materials

Adopts A105 carbon steel forgings meeting ASME/SA standards. A105 is a medium-strength carbon steel forging with excellent plasticity and toughness, which is widely used in pressure pipeline components under normal and medium temperature working conditions.

Production Process
1. Forging: Die forging process is adopted. A105 steel billets are heated and forged into hubbed flange blanks to ensure continuous metal flow lines, dense microstructure and superior mechanical properties.
2. Heat Treatment: Normalizing treatment is carried out to homogenize microstructure, refine grains, eliminate forging stress and improve comprehensive mechanical properties of materials.
3. Machining: Processing is performed with high-precision CNC lathes, milling machines and drilling machines. The outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness, neck size, sealing surface (water lines/tooth profiles shall be turned on RF face), bolt circle diameter and hole spacing of flanges are processed in strict accordance with ASME B16.5 standard to guarantee qualified dimensional tolerance and surface finish.
4. Surface Treatment: Sand blasting or shot blasting is conducted to remove oxide scales, followed by anti-rust oil coating or other anti-corrosion treatments as per customer requirements.
5. Quality Inspection: Strict dimensional inspection, visual inspection, material spectral analysis and hardness testing are implemented. Non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic testing or magnetic particle testing) will be carried out when necessary to ensure products fully meet ASME B16.5 standard and customer specifications.
6. Marking & Packaging: Steel stamp marking is performed in compliance with standard requirements (including standard number, material grade, pressure class, size, heat treatment mark, etc.). Anti-rust packaging is adopted to ensure safe transportation.

Temperature and Pressure Resistance Performance
- Temperature Resistance Range: A105 material is applicable to working conditions from -20°C to +400°C (the allowable specific temperature shall refer to the pressure-temperature ratings in ASME B16.34). Attention shall be paid to the impact toughness of the material in low-temperature environments.
- Pressure Resistance Class: Class150 is a pressure class of the American standard system. Its maximum allowable working pressure is not fixed and varies with temperature. At the temperature of -20°C to 38°C (100°F), the maximum allowable working pressure of Class150 flange made of A105 material is approximately 19.6 bar (about 285 psi). Users must select appropriate pressure classes for specific working conditions strictly according to the pressure-temperature rating tables in the appendix of ASME B16.5 standard.
