Description
Raw Material: A105 carbon steel, a forged carbon steel suitable for socket welding structures with excellent welding performance guaranteed.
Production Process: A105 forged billet cutting, die forging (to form socket holes), heat treatment, CNC lathe machining (outer diameter, end face, inner diameter and bottom of socket holes), bolt hole drilling, precision machining of sealing surfaces, inner hole deburring (to ensure smooth pipeline insertion), magnetic particle inspection (to detect surface defects), hydrostatic test, and anti-rust treatment.
Application Fields: Mainly used in small-diameter (generally NPS ≤ 2") high-pressure pipeline systems, such as instrument pipelines, sampling pipelines, and hydraulic systems. The socket welding structure delivers outstanding fatigue resistance, making it suitable for vibrating environments, and requires relatively lower welding skills compared with butt welding flanges.
Temperature and Pressure Resistance: Compliant with the ASME B16.5 standard, with Class150 pressure rating. Its rated pressure-temperature parameters are identical to those of butt welding flanges. For A105 material, the rated pressure of Class150 is 285 PSI at temperatures ranging from -29°C to 38°C. Socket welding connections feature high structural strength and airtightness.
